Here’s a small “Thank you.”

Close to the ground

I’m editing a weekly as my main vocation, but I fix bikes, read, listen and look as avocations. Increasingly, I’m persuaded that the future of journalism is what has been termed, among other titles, “backpack journalists,” everyday Tom, Dick and Harrys who are in positions to report developments.

Hence the title of this blog. I expect my entries to be infrequent, but welcome feedback from fellow reporters with eyes, feet and ears.
